| Every spring the Brainerd Noon Sertoma Club sponsors
the National Heritage Essay Contest for elementary students. A typical
contest gets well over 200 entries from fifth graders throughout the
district which are judged by a volunteer team of Sertomans. Winners are
then invited to a meeting to present their winning entries. Their
parents and teachers accompany them. The winning essays are published in
the Brainerd Dispatch. Savings bonds are awarded to the top three places
and $20.00 to the 4th thru 10th place winners.

3rd...$100 savings bond
